With the support of regional administrations and partner organisations, the Karate Federation of Armenia has launched a social programme for children from large and socially vulnerable families.

Under the programme, children receive free training, a kimono and competition insurance. The first stage covers the branches in Gyumri and Vanadzor — 40 places in total.

How to apply

  • The application is submitted to the branch coach
  • A certificate from the social services is required
  • The child's age: 6–14 years
A child should not be left out of the gym because the family cannot pay. We worked on this principle in Gyumri for ten years; now it is becoming an official federation programme.

Next year the programme is planned to expand to the branch in Abovyan.
