Mikael Mkhitaryan

Mikael Mkhitaryan opened the first karate group in Yerevan in 2022, in the halls of schools "27" and "6". He started with 18 children; today more than 80 athletes train at the branch.

He pays special attention to children from socially vulnerable families: with the league's support, classes for them are free.

Work

He believes that the main problem in Yerevan is not a lack of talent but competitive practice. That is why four times a year he takes athletes from Yerevan clubs to open tournaments in the regions.

• Cooperation with a number of general education schools in the regions and Yerevan

In 2024 he was named Coach of the Year of Armenia.
